Rachelle Lefevre

Rachelle Lefevre, a Canadian actress was born. Lefevre's first job as an actor came about when she was employed at a cafe. The restaurant's Canadian film producer came across her when she waited tables. She then moved to Los Angeles and earned a recurring role on the television show What About Brian (2006). While working in the Montreal sushi bar as a teen, a regular customer heard about her dreams of acting and got her in contact with an actor casting director. This led to a Canadian TV sitcom. The actress was featured in several episodes of David E. Kelley's Boston Legal (2004). The show led to her playing a prominent part in the 2008 U.S. adaption of BBC popular Life on Mars. Her father's family is French, though Lefevre grew as a child speaking predominantly English but she ultimately moved from Montreal to Los Angeles in 2004 due to the lack of English-speaking parts in Montreal. Lefevre landed her biggest film part yet with Catherine Hardwicke's film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The film is the very first in a cult trilogy of teenage vampire novels.
