Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades in her A-Levels. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role, she said she regretted having not had the typical university experience. Coleman, while still at High School, was part of the theatre company In Yer Space. They presented the show Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The award was presented to her for her performance and the production was also received favourably. Coleman was given the part in the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman received two nominations for prizes in 2007. Coleman won two nominations in 2007: Best Newcomer for the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, at the British Soap Awards she was recognized in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press conference held on the 21st march 2012, that Coleman was to be replacing Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat picked her to play the role as she performed well with Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. She is however, more recognized for her TV shows instead of films. Out of the many roles Eva has appeared in, on TV shows like Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which are the most notable. Actually, her role as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children earned her the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This gave her an opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva isn't just an actor, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has been married three times with a daughter by her second partner.
