Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress well known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage with Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater area with Li'l abner's in 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina during the same year. Louise first made it to Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre a 1957 drama film. This film became a big hit and Louise got the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In the years prior to this she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to move between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as opposed her perceived image as an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary however she also established herself as an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural & The 100. Born in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto at the age of three which is where she spent the rest of growing up and in adolescence. Then she settled in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
