Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most acclaimed films. Born and raised in a family of artists in New York she wished to work in the field of art. Her first position was a photo assistant. Then she moved on to modelling and acting. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years she had been voted as the most popular female box-office starter in the world. Her footprints from 1972 along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Her other credits comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was published. MacGraw is married three times.
